In the course of their research activities, OAPd scientists have developed
a number of software tools to assist them in their research.
Some of these software tools have evolved beyond simple programs
that can be fully exploited by their developers only, into packages
of more general applicability.
Three such tools are presented here:
GASPHOT, a package for automatic derivation of photometric and
structural parameters of galaxies,
MORPHOT, a tool for the automatic estimate of galaxy morphology,
and
AIDA, an IDL package for analyzing images of galaxies with bright
nucleus and to perform their decomposition in nuclear and galactic
components.
